Ask yourself several questions including, "How much time am I willing to commute?", "Do I want a fixer-upper or a move in ready home?", "Are schools important to me?" Barb can discuss the many other factors that go into finding the right home and recommend the best places to start looking.
How do I make an offer?
It´s important to understand the three basic components of an offer which include price, terms, and contingencies. Barb can provide the market research necessary to offer the right price. She is also well versed in contract terms and contingencies and will walk you through submitting your offer.
Why do I need a home inspection?
A home inspection can expose unseen issues and gives you a better idea of the condition of the home and how much repairs would cost. There are some issues that are more important than others and Barb can help you navigate through what should be repaired, what requires a price reduction, and what necessitates walking away from the purchase altogether.
My offer has been accepted and inspection is complete, what happens now?
It´s now time to complete the closing process. Barb will work with the lender to ensure that the survey, appraisal, title search, and final credit check go as planned. It's important to remain in regular contact with Barb and to return all phone calls and paperwork promptly. On closing day, you will meet with Barb and the Title Company Representative to sign all final paperwork and pay the seller for your new home.
